Ceiling Tin Canopy Bed

5.00 out of 5

Canopy bed made from reclaimed wood and ceiling tin. This handmade canopy bed is crafted from reclaimed antique wood that was once a part of homes destroyed in Hurricane Katrina. These homes were built in the late 1860s and have a beautiful patina that only time can create. On the side rails and posts, I’ve embraced the termite holes, accentuated the cracks, and preserved the beauty of the wood grain.

The headboard is made from an old door and has been inlaid with decorative Victorian ceiling tins that were salvaged from a church. The blue and silver tones pair beautifully with the dark brown tones of the wood. The canopy supports are notched to interlock and then screwed together.

Each bed is made to order and customizable by size, color, and the pattern of ceiling tin. This bed requires assembly but is quite easy to assemble. Mattress supports, hardware, and instructions are included.

Approximate Dimensions:

This is an amazing piece of furniture! It’s made out of reclaimed wood, a reclaimed door, and metal ceiling tiles that all have history. We ordered it, got in touch with Alex, and sat back and waited for our bed. It arrived before we were expecting, and was in perfect condition. It went together easily. Me and my brother in law put it together in about 20 minutes. A lot of that time was just carefully moving the pieces around the room. The bed itself is beautiful. It’s rustic, classy, authentic, and beautiful all at the same time. My bed literally has a couple of knot holes in the footboard. There are also all kinds of beautiful markings in the wood that makes the canopy. You can see where it was originally sawn before it was sanded and then where its worn over time. This is real repurposed wood.
