Inspired by French Provincial iron daybeds, the Laurel iron canopy daybed is a modern and sculptural look. Shown with a seat back and can be used as a sofa or daybed. Made with iron, with an oil rubbed bronze finish, and hand-crafted in our New Orleans workshop. Can be used both indoors and outdoor. Shown in twin size sofa daybed style. Also available in full. Mattress cushion not included.

Description
Doorman welds the four curved-canopy pieces by hand within 1/4 of a degree, making the bed’s silhouette perfectly symmetrical from every angle. The high-grade iron base is suitable for indoors, or out and with or without a back in a oil rubbed bronze finish.
To build out the story of these special pieces, they were photographed at the New Orleans historic house museum, The Pitot House which is a 1799 Creole-style home with rare Louisiana brown-cotton textiles from Sarepta Brown Cotton covering the mattress and cushions, which are layered to tell Doorman’s story of “Southern Made Modern”.
