Sustainability & Process
In a region on the frontlines of climate change, Doorman is committed to changing the way we manufacture by transitioning away from petrochemicals, using recycled materials, and investing in innovative research and sustainable products. Doorman prioritizes sourcing timber from responsible local suppliers who opt for lumber from mature forests rather than clear-cutting.
Embracing cleaner, eco-friendly materials like water-based lacquers and wool upholstery, Doorman strives to lower harmful emissions and support healthier indoor environments.

1. Natural Latex Foam
This product from Talalay uses all natural latex, that is vacuum formed, and frozen to create comfortable VOC free upholstery foam.
2. Fabric Made from Recycled Plastic
This fabric from Camira is made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic and includes plastic that has been recovered from the ocean.
3. Cocolak Foam
This is a material made from rubberized coconut fiber that is a byproduct of the coconut industry. We use this for products that need a more structural base.
4. 100% wool Padding
